Status update

Looks like I only remember to post new entries once a year. Let's not break that tradition!

Even more than a month later, I still feel sad when I think too long about the end of Code Geass. I used to laugh at Lelouch and Suzaku's stupid outfits but now I feel like BAWWWing every time I see them. Those stupid, stupid boys. ;_;

And, wow, I never realized how spoiled I was in the Geass fandom. For the first time in, well, EVER my OTP was the fandom favourite! It was so damn easy to find fanart and fic and doujinshi and people to squee about Suzalulu with... it was awesome. But I've always gravitated toward rare pairs in the past and that hasn't changed. I've gone back to liking impossible to find pairings in Hetalia.

Why is it so damn hard to find Russia/Canada? WHY?

I'd also love some dysfunctional UK/France/America/Canada family stuff too. Sadly, I'll probably end up drawing it myself...

I sympathize about the unusual pairing thing. Usually my fandom favorite pairings are insanely unpopular too.

And I TOTALLY got into shipping Russia/Canada after doing the Canadian Communist movement in college, and gaaah, it feels like me, and 2 other people on my f-list are the only people actually doing stuff for it. ;___; (But it is a lovely, lovely pairing though, so I'll continue writing fics for it, even if nobody else does! :D)

At least an upside to liking rare/unpopular pairings is that it teaches you patience. Sometimes, as I'm sure you know, it can be over a year before new fic/art appears.

Sadly, Russia/Canada seems like one of the less popular ones. I actually got into Russia/Canada because of, uh, hockey. And, uh, a really bittersweet fic on the kinkmeme. :D

But hey, I'll probably draw some art for this soon so at least it won't just be your f-list?

(Was it Near as Neighbors? T-That story made me a very happy and sad anon, and yeah, I forgot but that definitely helped BIG TIME in recruiting me to shipping it.)

Yeah. I'm kind of happy though. Even though Canada doesn't show up in the manga very much, at least he's in alot more stories than most characters. But still, not enough Russia/Canada ;__;.

Yes~~~ Honestly, I was really happy when I checked back to look at the pretty Arthur/Matthew art again and then realized that you liked Russia/Canada too.
S-So if you did do any pictures, I would be a spazzy happy fan. Just to let you know XD

Yeah, I think that's what it was called. Was it the one that ended with Russia selling Alaska to America?

For a guy that's supposed to be invisible, he shows up a lot more than I expected! To be honest, I thought Canada wouldn't even make the cut so any face-time is great! Even if the vast majority of fic/art is made by Canadians.

Heh, I'm actually working on some art right now but I can't figure out when the Russia siblings stopped looking like kids... so I'm stuck how much older should Ivan look? D:
