I am such a slowpoke. It took me ages to decide which Hetalia meme to do.
1) I think Canada's jacket is wrong? This is the style on the chibi cellphone wallpaper, but his trading card shows him with a hood...
2) I was going to draw Gilbert as Soldier Blue but then I remembered how much I suck at capes. Actually Arthur should be there too but I was in the mood to draw snow, so...
3) After Hetalia, suddenly my Elementary class's outrage that England didn't take Canada's side in the Alaska Panhandle dispute makes so much sense. Quebec isn't the only place that won't let things go -- OVER 100 YEARS LATER Matthew is still mad Arthur took Al's side.
4) I also love researching so if I started designing, I'd end up trying to learn all I could and never finish the meme. Plus, all the countries I'm already familiar with are in Hetalia already.
5) Russia looks weird but I can't figure out what it is.
6) Sekrit East Asian infiltration plan, go! India can come too. Also, pretend that Yao's using Cantonese for HK's benefit and not because I fail at Mandarin.
7) Why so serious, Mattie? Don't you want to dress up as a girl or let Quebec out?
It's "China as an Emerging Superpower". Pretty much how they will eventually start a war in their search for resources to attend to their massive population. It's perfect APH fodder.

OH MAI. *has a sudden urge to draw a long, long Hetalia comic about Asia vs. Europe with the Asians as sort of the dark group who refer to each other as brothers and sisters and yes I'm Asian and keeps ranting on and on*

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Although `DEVlANT joined our community only a year ago, he's made sure to make his mark in as many ways as possible. Always eager to bring suggestions and feedback to us in a positive way, `DEVlANT shows a maturity way beyond his years. It's with great pleasure that we award very first Deviousness of 2010 t... Perfect APH fodder indeed. Now I'm horribly tempted to draw something about it.
