I recently fell in love with Axis Powers Hetalia, a Japanese webcomic and soon to be anime about anthropomorphised countries during the world wars.
Matthew/Canada is so cute~ I wish there was more Canada with UK and France. I decided to draw this late last night for Remembrance Day today and, uh, blew off NaNoWriMo to do so. Anyway, here's Canada with Britian at Ypres! Matthew/Canada doesn't show up until after the World Wars so I referenced the Princess Patricia unit's uniform and the 7 button Canadian variant of the 1915 British uniform. But I, uh, don't know if that unit was at Ypres or even if those are the right colours! And even if they were, they probably wouldn't be in their dress uniform... Hahaha... Might upload an alternate version later with a real background. |
